Major tourist markets including India, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates are among the places that will soon be able to enter visa-free.
The plan, which was presented in December of last year, is slated to be put into action by October, according to Jakarta Globe.
There will be a six-month evaluation of the visa-free visit program.
In an effort to revive the country’s tourist industry, the ministry suggested in December of last year that 20 nations be offered visa-free admission to Indonesia.
The Southeast Asian nation of Indonesia had 11.7 million international visitors in 2017, much lower than its neighbors.
There will be 17 million visitors this year.
During the first three months of this year, the nation had three million international visitors.
